In August 2020, American Ballet
Theatre Principal Dancer Isabella Boylston launched Ballerina Book Club: a monthly book
and interview series for dancers,
non-dancers and everyone in
between. I challenged myself to
redesign Ballerina Book Club’s
visual identity, building a system
that could be applied across the newsletter, Instagram and
YouTube, with plenty of poten-
tial to expand. My goal was to
create something that reflected
Isabella’s personality: sunshiney,
extroverted, maximalist and full
of humor.
